Honoring the Life and Legacy of Dr. Kerri Simpson Remmel

Dr. Kerri Remmel was a pioneering physician, educator, and advocate whose leadership transformed stroke and neurovascular care. From her groundbreaking work in Kentucky to her deep commitment to underserved communities, she lived with purpose and passion—improving countless lives along the way.

In partnership with the Association of Neurovascular Clinicians (ANVC) and the Niekro Aneurysm & AVM Foundation, we are establishing the Dr. Kerri Remmel & Niekro Foundation Neurovascular Team Excellence Lectureship—an annual keynote at the ANVC Conference celebrating excellence in neurovascular care, education, and advocacy.

This endowed lectureship will elevate leading voices in stroke, aneurysm, AVM, and neurovascular innovation, while preserving Dr. Remmel’s extraordinary legacy.

The Niekro Aneurysm and AVM Foundation™ is committed to supporting patients and families, research, treatment and awareness of brain aneurysms, AVMs and strokes. We provide education on the risk factors, causes and treatments of these conditions, while funding the advancement of neurological research.
