Today marks the 18 day countdown until The Knuckle Ball.  I am amazed at the outpouring of support from Houston and am really looking forward to introducing The Joe Niekro Foundation.  It is very humbling to see the love that people have for my father and for the mission of this foundation.  Being able to hand over a huge check to The Methodist Neurological Institute is going to be the greatest and most rewarding gift I have ever given.  As I communicate daily with the sponsors, athletes, vendors and committees, I am still awestruck at the level of support that this event has gained.  July 31st is going to be a night to remember, I promise you!  And I am so honored to be able to give this to the city and community that has given me my greatest memories.  Thank you to everyone and I can’t wait to see you on the 31st.
