I am sitting at my computer rethinking this past weekend, and still in complete awe of the support and commitment from everyone that attended Friday night’s Knuckle Ball…a Pitch for Life.  For the past 16 months, I poured my heart and soul into an event that finally came to fruition just three days ago.  When I landed in Houston on July 29th to do the final preparations for the Friday night event, I still had no idea how I was going to feel when I walked into Minute Maid Park on July 31, 2009.  And when I walked onto that stage to give my talk, I was absolutely amazed and humbled at the level of support and dedication of everyone that had come to pay tribute to the man that I have the privilege of calling my father.  There is no other place that I would have rather been than in that stadium honoring the man that will forever be a hero in my eyes.  And as I recalculate all the events that took place these past few days, I am so thankful and so honored for everyone’s support.  I am already starting to think about next year’s event and look forward to making 2010 an even bigger success.   Thank you everyone!
