Dad,

Today, the world celebrates Father’s Day, a day to honor the joy, love and happiness that you  have brought into my life.  My greatest gift came from God and that gift is you, Dad.  How I wish you were here so I could give you a hug, tell you how much you mean to me and celebrate this special day with you by my side.  But no matter how hard I try, I know that wish isn’t possible;  I can’t hug you, I can’t look into your eyes and tell you the impact you have had on me, and I can’t walk with you by my side.  So instead, I look to the heavens to feel your presence, I feel your arms around me, your hand on my shoulder and your footsteps walking with me every step of the way.  Dad, you have changed my life in ways you aren’t even aware of.  Because of you, I live – because of you, I breath and because of you, I am.  Thank you Dad for never giving up on me, for leading me through the journey of life and for always knowing what to say and how to say it.  Today is YOUR day and on YOUR day, walk proud knowing that the impact you have had on my life, and so many others, is greater than you could ever imagine.  I love you.  I miss you.  I thank you.  Happy Father’s Day.
